Tree Removal
Instructions:
Remove the tree and stump, ensuring they are excavated below the surface level. Install a weed control membrane and cover the area with a 150mm layer of crushed concrete to create additional storage space.
Careful consideration was given during the planning stages of this project due to the sensitive nature of working within a school environment and directly above a main pathway. Instead of opting for traditional tree surgery, we decided to hire a cherry picker. This approach proved beneficial for two key reasons:
It eliminated the need to send personnel up the tree, ensuring that work could be paused immediately in the event of a fire alarm or other emergency.
The use of a cherry picker allowed for a more deliberate, yet highly precise, method of work, which was crucial in protecting both the pathway and the roof overhung by the tree.
